Abstract

The clinical pharmacist is the professional who is involved in patient care, actively participating in drug therapy, health promotion and/or recovery, exercising their activities with autonomy for decision-making. In addition to the ability to establish connection with patients, exercise a systemic view to anticipate risks and promote safety and search for the best clinical outcome. The corpus of the work is centered on discussions proposed by different authors and co-authors. Thus, the study aims to survey the academic literature on the role of pharmacists and interventions applied in the hospital environment. In addition, to discuss the bibliographic sources, detailing the pharmacist's role and interventions in specialized care; Discuss the role and function of the pharmacist for the best development of work teams. The methodological proposal starts from the definitions of critics and scholars about clinical pharmacy, definitions about the meaning of the word pharmacist, finally, it focuses on presenting a series of studies along the textual structure and commenting on them, in the light of a qualitative and basic approach. bibliographic.
