The article aims to analyze the performance of the Family Health Strategy (FHS) in cases of gestational syphilis in Maceió, Alagoas. Method - descriptive-exploratory study with a quantitative approach that evaluated 515 pregnant women notified on Sinan between 2015 and 2020. The treatment was carried out using descriptive statistics of data from health information systems and Spearman's correlation was applied as a statistical test with the purpose of verifying the relationship between FHS coverage and incidence coefficients, as well as FHS coverage and data rates on clinical and social aspects of prenatal care for each year of the study. Results - There was a growing increase in incidence from 2.12 to 8.97 cases/1000NV. The main race/color was brown and the age group was between 20 and 29 years old. The predominant clinical form was the primary (37.28%) and the treatment was considered inadequate. Thus, weaknesses in the performance of the FHS in cases of syphilis during pregnancy are pointed out regarding the adequacy of PC care. Late initiation of care and inadequate treatment could have been remedied with timely management of the pregnant woman.
