Abstract

Hansen's disease presents itself as a chronic infectious-contagious disease, mainly affecting the skin and peripheral nerves. In socially vulnerable groups, food limitations occur. Economic issues and the interference of a westernized diet can directly interfere with nutritional status. This article aims to build and validate an educational technology (ET) on nutritional guidance for people undergoing multidrug therapy for Hansen's disease. It is a methodological research, construction of educational technology, validation by three judges groups, which were respectively: nine specialist professionals in the health area, four professionals from other areas and thirteen people from the target audience. To validate the booklet, instruments were applied to each judges group considering the Content Validity Index (CVI) for data analysis with a value of 70% or more. The booklet was built based on the integrative review and the Food Guide for the Brazilian population. In the validation process by the target audience, the CVI obtained a 95.54% global average. In the evaluation by the judges in the health area, the overall CVI was 88.20% and by specialists from other areas, it obtained a percentage of 91.34% through the SAM. The technology was built and validated with satisfactory rates by the judges, characterizing it as adequate and informative.
