The objective of this integrative review was to characterize the state of the art on Human Rights and Public Health in the context of violence in adolescence, based on the meaning that stigma and drug addiction act in influencing social vulnerability. Articles published with an open period were searched in PubMed, Social Sciences Citation Index (Web of Science), Science Direct, Science Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science), PubMed Central Free Digital Archive and SciELO Brazil. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were adopted, which includes a 27-item checklist. The eligibility criteria for the documentary corpus regarding inclusion adopted for selecting the articles analyzed were studies published, without a time limit, in English, Portuguese and Spanish. 12 articles were eligible for review. The results show that adolescents experienced incidents of violence as victims and/or aggressors, with physical violence being the most dominant category, leading them to the consumption of legal and illicit drugs, abandonment of studies and initiation into sexual and other criminal activities. Furthermore, it was noted that the adolescent's involvement with violence is due to the difficult path from adolescence to adulthood, where the conflicting relationships brought about, mainly in dysfunctional families, in social fragility, in contexts of violence and exclusion, make them vulnerable and insert them into drug addiction and, generally, lead them to suffer harm, with emphasis on violence with psychosocial implications.
