Objective: To describe the validation process of an educational technology with methodological strategies of Permanent Education for the hospital context. Method: The validation process of the manual included two evaluations: the Content Validation Index (CVI) by eight health experts, who analyzed the objectives, structure, presentation, and relevance, and the Appearance Validation Index (IVA) by four experts from other areas, who evaluated the organization, style, appearance, and motivation. Both questionnaires ensured that the manual was appropriate in content and presentation. For statistical analysis of the data, the statistical program SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 16 was used. Results: The results showed a total percentage of agreement of 77.34% (99), as 72 scores (56.25%) were evaluated as totally adequate and 27 of the total scores (21.09%) as adequate, 28 (21.88%) as partially adequate and only 1 score (1.78%) as inadequate, indicating that the propensity for disagreement was lower than the average agreement, so the manual was validated, because it obtained a reach greater than 70%, pre-established in this study. The VAT evaluated by experts from other areas showed a total percentage of agreement of 99%; no significant variations were identified in undecided or disagreeing answers. Conclusion: Therefore, it was concluded that ET, by adapting to the suggestions and comments of the specialists, generating a second version, became a valid tool to be used by the multiprofessional team in the hospital context.
