INDICADORES DA ANSIEDADE EM UNIVERSITÁRIOS DE MEDICINA, PSICOLOGIA E TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL DO SUL E NORTE DO BRASIL

Abstract

This article is part of a study on the perceptions and incidence of anxiety among medical, psychology, and occupational therapy undergraduate students. It was approved by the Ethics Committee; the DASS-21 scale and a qualitative questionnaire were applied via Google Forms. Inclusion criteria: volunteers, regardless of gender, race/ethnicity; between 18 and 30 years old; any period of the course; exclusion criteria: under 18 and over 31 years old, diagnosis of mental disorders other than anxiety. Results: medicine: difficulty relaxing; intolerance; emotionality; difficulty breathing, fears without reason; psychology: difficulty relaxing; tachycardia and panic; lack of self-worth; occupational therapy: nervousness; tremors, looking ridiculous, panic, fears without reason. Conclusion: undergraduate students in the three courses felt fear, stress, anxiety, and depression; body affectation, which requires the management of the faculties to offer clinical care, with and without psychotherapeutic interventions, and personal and pedagogical development groups.
