BECHECK: DESENVOLVIMENTO DE TECNOLOGIA PARA APOIAR ASSISTÊNCIA EM PERINATOLOGIA

Abstract

High rates of maternal and neonatal mortality are associated with complications at the time of birth and in the postpartum period, as well as with poor quality of prenatal care, leading to the development of complications that create risks to the safety of the mother-fetus binomial. Thus, the use of new technologies in the health sector can complement perinatology care and promote a reduction in morbidity and mortality among pregnant women and fetuses. The objective is to describe the process of creating a web application aimed at perinatal care that values usability and effectiveness in care. The project was conceived based on the priorities observed in bibliographical research and observations carried out in the outpatient clinic of a maternity school located in Natal-RN, Brazil. The prototype has already been registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) and will begin the usability evaluation phases after approval by the Ethics Committee. It is expected, therefore, that the technology developed will have good usability and contribute to improving maternal and neonatal outcomes
