Endometriosis consists of the presence of endometrial cells in adjacent tissues resulting in an intense inflammatory process. Due to the complexity of this pathological process, the joint action of the multiprofessional team has been highlighted as an important factor in women's health care. The aim of this study was to carry out a literature review on the approach to endometriosis within the multiprofessional health care context. Thus, this research consisted of a descriptive literature review with a qualitative approach. After the selection and analysis of the literature, it was possible to conclude that endometriosis affects women's health in the biopsychosocial context and that the joint action of nurses, psychologists, physicians and other professionals is essential for the prevention and promotion of care to women with endometriosis, from diagnosis to cure.
