This work aims to discuss the education of Psychology students, in the area of school/educational Psychology, based on an extension course about hate speech with high schoolers of the second grade at a federal institute in the Brazilian northeastern. The extension course took place in the second semester of 2023 and the location selected for the extension was a federal institute campus in which the participants were integrated education students aged between 16 and 19 years old. Six extension students constituted the student team responsible for preparing and executing the course activities, which originated as a result of the methodological path regarding the Intervention Research (IR) from the doctoral thesis of the professor coordinating the extension course. As a result of the activity, it was possible to contribute to the debate on the education of school/educational psychologists through the public school floor, showing that the experiences evoked in the IR are essential to the construction of extension in academic education.
