ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: PERSPECTIVE AND CHALLENGES IN PROFESSIONAL IMPLEMENTATION FOR NURSES

Abstract

Objective: identify knowledge and analyze future perspectives of nurses in the face of artificial intelligence in a city in the interior of Mato Grosso. Method: Fifteen nurses participated, with a predominance of females 73%, and the most common age range was between 30 and 35 years 40%. Data were collected through questionnaires addressing technological aspects, familiarity with AI, and its application in health and nursing. Results: Most participants 94% demonstrated knowledge in information technology. Regarding AI, 60% reported familiarity, and 92% had positive experiences. Acceptance of AI in healthcare was at 40%, with 92% believing that technology could facilitate work. In nursing, 60% showed willingness to adopt AI, although 11% expressed doubts about its effectiveness. Overall perception indicated that 80% recognized benefits associated with the implementation of AI in nursing practice. Conclusion: The study reveals a growing acceptance of AI among nurses, highlighting its potential to improve the quality of care. However, there are still barriers to adoption, emphasizing the need for continuous training and technical support to effectively integrate this technology into health practices.
