This paper aims to analyze the PPCs of the IFRN's technical courses in order to identify and analyze the mentions, inclusions and citations of IP, correlating them with the social and work reality. Through exploratory, descriptive, non-experimental, bibliographic research and analysis based on the perspective of historical-dialectical materialism, we sought to answer the question: what form does knowledge about intellectual property (IP) take in the pedagogical plans of the technical courses (integrated and subsequent) of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte - IFRN? Thus, we explored topics such as entrepreneurship, IP teaching in professional and technological education, manual and intellectual work, precarious labor relations and alienation. The conclusion is that intellectual property is very limited in the curriculum and only taught on a few technical courses, mostly in management and business.
